Tracer Study, often referred to as an alumni survey or ‘follow-up’ survey, is a study of graduates of higher education institutions. This study is able to provide a variety of information that is useful for the purposes of evaluating the results of higher education and can then be used for improvement and quality assurance of the higher education institution concerned. Tracer Study is also useful in providing important information about the relationship between higher education and the professional world of work, assessing the relevance of higher education, providing information for stakeholders, and completing requirements for higher education accreditation.
